A family owned business who simply aim to help everyday Kiwis achieve their financial goals
Expert Mortgage Advice
We’ve been in the finance game for a combined 30+ years, that doesn’t necessarily mean that we are boring, quite the opposite in fact. We understand the lending landscape has changed since we first started in the industry, and we bring a fresh energy to this sometimes misunderstood profession.
Although we may appear relaxed and friendly on the outside, we are dead serious when it comes to helping you manage your mortgage and protecting you and your family in times of need. We believe that in order to provide our clients with the best outcomes, we need to gain absolute trust and willingness to work together as a team.
What we can guarantee through our processes:
MEET THE TEAM
Who are Wayne Henry Mortgages?
Managing Director, Mortgage Adviser
My approach to business is like my approach to life: just be yourself, smile and be kind.
Kaz and I get tremendous satisfaction from helping Kiwis from all walks of life navigate through their financial journey. We hope that after our first interaction you feel comfortable, safe and open to experiencing a relationship like never before.
We are just as Kiwi as our clients so you shouldn’t be surprised when I turn up to a client meeting in my beloved jandals (only in the summer, too cold in the winter!) I spent 14 years in a suit and tie, so please don’t judge me!
What I can promise you is a 100% commitment to helping you and your family with a smile, an open mind, and a few laughs along the way.
We can’t wait to meet you.
Client Services Manager
I like to think that I’m Wayne’s way better half (jokes) and the quiet sidekick, who works in the background getting things done. As a team, we’re often referred to as Wayno and Kaz, and you’ll often find us socialising and having a laugh with our friends and family.
I was lucky enough to grow up in the country, in a place called Tomarata. However, as soon as I left school, I ventured to the big smoke, Auckland and completed 6 years of university study in Environmental Engineering… but soon decided that finance was more my calling. Since then, I’ve had over 15 years experience in the finance industry.
After many years working in the corporate world, Wayne and I decided to make a change, and that is when Wayne Henry Mortgages started.
We love helping everyone BUT I get my real buzz and personal satisfaction from helping young Kiwis purchase their first home!
You won’t find a nicer guy in the mortgage broking industry than Scott. As genuine as they come, you can be sure that not only will you be looked after impeccably by our gentle giant, but you will make a life-long ally, dare we say friend, who will be there to support you every step of the way.
Scott is a Shore boy, who likes nothing better than a morning stroll along his native Milford beach. Despite a disproportionate fear of sharks, he even dusts off the old longboard on the rare occasions surf’s worth surfing on the east coast. You won’t find a more committed Dad, he’s never missed one of his son Finn’s rugby games (Go Taka!) and is not scared to show off his dance moves on stage with his daughter Evie (we have video footage!).
But don’t underestimate this gentle giant… he is one smart cookie whose diverse background in the banking, insurance and telecoms sectors brings a wealth of experience and business acumen that will move mountains. Scott has a knack for solving problems and coming up with creative solutions to add value to people’s lives, whether you are a first home buyer or seasoned investor.
A good friend and mentor of mine once said, we have two of these (pointing to his ears) and one of these (pointing to his mouth) and they should always be used in that order. At first, I wasn’t sure what to say next, if anything at all – and then it hit me.
That advice has served me incredibly well over the years across a number of key industries, all of which have helped me succeed as a Mortgage Advisor who listens first and speaks second. Having myself sat across the table from an advisor who helped me achieve my goal of home ownership, I am loving helping Kiwi’s achieve their financial goals.
Once we do get chatting, I can’t rule out sharing my latest thoughts on the Warriors season and why they’ll ‘definitely’ win their next game – but by then we’ll already have a game plan in place and you’ll be well on your way.
